We are currently looking to recruit a full time Stock and Visual Merchandising Assistant to support our Retail Team, based in our beautiful flagship Chelsea store in the heart of London's design scene. Here customers can explore our entire collection across three floors, see our pieces styled in seasonal room sets and access our many services such as our custom-made sofa service Tailored by OKA.

Reporting directly to Store Manager, the Stock and Visual Merchandising Assistant is responsible for assisting in the organisation and execution of the general daily activities of the store, ensuring the team delivers an enhanced retail experience for OKA customers through the provision of outstanding customer service, product knowledge and enthusiasm for beautiful interiors.
This is a blended role combining stock management, visual merchandising, and customer experience to support the overall efficiency and presentation of the store while delivering exceptional service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational/Stock Responsibilities:

  • Receive deliveries, unload stock, and complete all relevant delivery paperwork.
  • Move stock to the stockroom, ensuring discrepancies are recorded and followed up.
  • Keep the stockroom clean, tidy, and organised at all times.
  • Support inventory control, including cycle counts and stock checks.
  • Identify and manage faulty or unlabelled stock to maintain customer service standards.
  • Package and book out stock correctly for customer orders and courier dispatches.
  • Pick and prepare stock for the sales team as needed.
  • Assist with promotional setups, sales events, and seasonal store preparations.
  • Support testing and feedback on new stock management processes.
  • Train new team members on operational procedures and stock handling policies.
Visual Merchandising Support:
  • Support the VM team with showroom display changes and installations.
  • Ensure the store is consistently merchandised to OKA's brand standards.
  • Replenish shop floor stock based on VM and management guidance.
  • Monitor overstocks and low-stock items and communicate with management.
  • Maintain tidy, visually appealing commercial bays and showroom areas.
  • Assist on the shop floor with customer service, sales, and general housekeeping when required.
Customer Service:
  • Provision of exceptional customer service to OKA customers
  • Providing advice and guidance on products to customers in person and via phone
  • ?Generating and maximising revenue to meet sales targets
  • ?Efficient and accurate execution of EPOS transactions, processing of payments and associated transactional paperwork and processes
  • ?Identifying sales opportunities
  • ?Promoting the OKA In-Store Design Advisors and Interior Design Service (IDS)
  • ?Being a proactive member of the sales floor team: greeting all customers and offering assistance, managing customer returns, communicating care and maintenance instructions for customer purchases, upholding presentation standards for the Store and back office areas
ABOUT YOU?
  • ?Previous luxury retail experience, ideally within the furniture or homeware sectors
  • Passion for providing best-in-class customer service and building lasting customer relationships
  • Proven soft selling skills, including link-selling of complimentary products
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
  • Flexible approach to working weekends, public holidays and occasional travel to support other Stores and for meetings and training
  • Target-driven
