Our Vacancy

As a Stock Condition Surveyor, you will play a vital role in ensuring Peabody's homes meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance. You'll be responsible for carrying out surveys and assessments that inform our asset management strategy and future investment plans. This role is key to delivering excellent customer experiences and maintaining safe, well-maintained homes across our portfolio.

What you'll do




In this role, you'll undertake stock condition surveys on Peabody's properties and communal areas, collecting detailed information on building components, repairs, and remaining life cycles. You'll carry out assessments such as HHSRS surveys, fire risk assessments, and DDA audits, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. You'll upload accurate data to our asset management systems, provide technical advice on property condition, and work closely with colleagues and external partners to support planned maintenance programmes. Health and safety will be central to your work, ensuring all surveys and site visits are conducted safely and in line with regulations. This role will require a Basic DBS check.

What you'll need



Experience in carrying out stock condition surveys and related assessments (e.g., HHSRS, DDA audits, fire risk assessments). HND/HNC in Building or equivalent technical qualification. Strong understanding of health and safety requirements and compliance standards. Effective IT, numeracy, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
