Gloagburn Farm Shop and Coffee Shop



Gloagburn is a well established family owned restaurant and farm shop on the outskirts of Perth, PH1 1QL.

Our 130 cover restaurant is open 8.30am to 5.30pm serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea with the emphasis on good quality, seasonal, local and Scottish produce and an excellent standard of customer service. In addition we hold steak nights on the last Friday in the month October through March.

Our busy and recently expanded Farm shop includes all the local produce you would expect as well as ingredients from around the world, our own bakery and in house butchery.

Job Overview


We have a vacancy arising for a stock controller to manage deliveries and dispatch for our Farm shop and restaurant. You will be responsible for the control, processing and storage of all stock coming into the business on a daily basis. You will be using specialist software to update prices, conduct stock takes and manage the dispatch of online orders, communicating regularly with a range of customers and suppliers.

The job



Receive and unload deliveries, ensuring that all items are accounted for and in good condition. Book in all items ensuring pricing is accurate. Manage and maintain warehouse and storage areas and delivery areas. Record and return any incorrect or damaged goods. Procurement of consumables Dispatch online orders of Gloagburn products Maintain inventory levels by conducting regular stock checks. Conduct annual stock take in conjunction with the Retail Manager. monitor and respond to all emails Collaborate with the management and retail teams ensure that the sales floor is fully stocked at all times. Utilise accounting software such as Eureka, Shopify, Microsoft word and Excel for inventory management and financial tracking. Conducting routine testing of fire and security systems

The Person



Previous experience in a stock or inventory role is essential. Familiarity with accounting software. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Sound literary an numeracy skills Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team to ensure efficient effective systems. Good physical fitness as the role involves daily manual handling. Excellent communication skills. Experience liaising with customers and suppliers.
Experience with forklifts and a current license would be an advantage, drivers license is essential.

This is a busy and varied hands on role supporting all aspects of the business and requires a calm professional person who copes well under pressure. If you are a positive, friendly, cheerful person with a 'can do attitude' and a strong team ethic we would love to hear from you.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.25 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
