Key Responsibilities:
Act as the key stock control contact for nominated product ranges, managing inventory, stock taking, and transactional purchasing.
Provide basic customer service support for stock sales and transfer order management across all Brenntag UK & Ireland depots.
Maintain and develop supplier logistics relationships.
Ensure full compliance with Brenntag policies and procedures.
Support local depot operations including month-end processes and goods-in diary management.
Drive cost efficiencies in the supply chain while adhering to working capital constraints.
Facilitate safe handling and transfer of packaged chemical products between sites, supporting the Inter Depot Network.
Manage procurement activities including M4 alerts, purchase orders, supplier reports, and inbound deliveries.
Monitor and report on supplier performance and stock KPIs.
Administer new product codes and supplier approvals.
Oversee inventory forecasting, slow-moving stock, and bi-monthly stock takes.
Coordinate inter-depot stock transfers and ensure compliance with transport legislation.
Provide cover for colleagues during absence or training and support business continuity.
Manage budgets and implement service-driven inventory practices to minimise losses.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
Full UK/EU driving licence.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
Experience in fast-paced environments with strategic decision-making capabilities.
Proficiency in ERP systems, transport planning tools, and Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with ISO quality processes and food safety standards.
Customer-focused and results-driven mindset.
Desirable:
Degree in Business, Marketing, Chemistry, or related fields.
Working towards a professional qualification (e.g. Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply).
