As a Qualified Social Worker in the Emergency Duty Team, your key responsibilities will include:

• Responding to emergency referrals and providing immediate support to children and families in crisis.
• Conducting assessments and developing safety plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
• Working closely with law enforcement, health services, and other agencies to ensure a coordinated response to emergencies.
• Maintaining accurate and timely records of interventions and outcomes in line with statutory requirements.
• Providing guidance and support to less experienced team members and contributing to team development.

To excel in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

• A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
• Current registration with Social Work England.
• Experience working in a social work environment, preferably in emergency or crisis settings.
• Strong assessment and intervention skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively.
