Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Stonemasons to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in masonry, with the ability to work with various stone materials to create durable and aesthetically pleasing structures. This role requires precision, creativity, and a solid understanding of construction techniques. The Stonemason will be responsible for interpreting drawings and working collaboratively with other tradespeople to ensure high-quality workmanship.

Duties

Construct and repair stone structures, including Pointing, stone indents, stone fixing, mortar repairs and building work Interpret architectural drawings and specifications to determine project requirements. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to shape and install stone materials. Collaborate with tradespeople on-site to ensure cohesive project execution. Perform bricklaying tasks as required, ensuring alignment and stability of structures. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Inspect completed work for quality assurance, making adjustments as necessary.

Experience

Proven experience in masonry or a related field is essential. CSCS card is required PASMA and IPAF qualifications would be an advantage. Experience in roofing is a plus but not mandatory. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools specific to masonry work. Strong understanding of construction principles and practices. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
