Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Stonemason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and be proficient in working with various materials, including stone, brick, and concrete. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret design plans accurately. The Stonemason will be responsible for constructing and repairing structures, ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

Construct and repair stone structures, including walls, patios, and walkways. Lay bricks, stones, or concrete blocks according to specifications. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to shape and finish materials. Perform welding tasks as required for specific projects. Collaborate with architects and other construction professionals to ensure project specifications are met. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations. Assist in the installation of roofing elements as needed. Provide guidance to apprentices or less experienced workers in masonry techniques.

Qualifications

Proven experience in masonry work, with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to masonry. Experience in bricklaying is essential; knowledge of roofing techniques is advantageous. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as required. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. A valid driver's licence may be required for travel between job sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 15.28-27.87 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
