Affinity Water has a new opportunity to become a Storage & Process Asset Engineer in our Customer Delivery Directorate.
The Role:
The Storage & Process Asset Engineer will be responsible for delivering routine cyclical maintenance work that aligns with our strategic objectives for the storage maintenance, GAC & Membrane replacement programmes. You will support the Storage & Process Asset Lead in the delivery of these programmes giving regular updates & identifying delivery risks as they become apparent. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, customers, and our supply chain, is essential for this role to ensure effective communication and collaboration. This role is key to ensuring our maintenance activities are planned and delivered efficiently and aligned with our Regulatory performance commitments.
As the role covers the entire Affinity Water supply area, extensive travel is required on a weekly basis. Work location flexibility is therefore essential along with a valid driving licence.
What you'll be doing:
Ensure effective communication with key Operational stakeholders, keeping them informed of any impacts to service delivery.
Assisting and supporting the Storage & Process Asset Lead, to plan, programme and optimise outage planning activities.
Manage contractor construction activities in accordance with Construction Design & Management Regulations, The Health & Safety at Work Act & in accordance with NEC3 contracts.
Provide technical expertise relating to construction activities, develop and maintain quality standards, procedures and processes.
What you'll need:
Significant experience managing contractors and subcontractors on construction sites.
Experience in controlling the quality of materials and workmanship during construction.
Ability to works at heights and within medium & high risk confined spaces.
Degree/HNC qualified in related field or demonstrable experience in the water industry or similar.
UK Manual Driving Licence.
