The Store Assistant will support daily store operations to ensure efficient inventory management and smooth supply flow. This role involves receiving, checking, storing, and issuing materials while maintaining accurate stock records. The candidate will assist in keeping the store area organised and comply with company procedures for safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in receiving, unloading, and organising goods in the store.
Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock levels regularly.
Issue materials and supplies to relevant departments as per requisition.
Conduct periodic stock checks and report discrepancies to the Store Supervisor.
Ensure cleanliness, order, and safety in the storage area.
Label and categorise materials properly for easy identification.
Assist in preparing stock reports and maintaining documentation.
Coordinate with procurement and production teams for timely material supply.
Follow company health and safety guidelines.
Skills Required:
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, inventory software).
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to handle physical tasks like lifting and organising materials.
Time management and accuracy in record-keeping.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; Diploma in Store keeping or Logistics preferred.
Previous experience in warehouse or store operations is an advantage.
