Overview

Miscarriage Services (MISS) is a charity providing emotional and practical support to individuals and families affected by early pregnancy loss. Our charity shop in Laurencekirk helps fund our services while creating a welcoming, community-driven space.

We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Store Associate to join our friendly team on a zero-hour basis, primarily working on Saturdays. Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Visual Merchandising: Arrange items on the shop floor to create an attractive, tidy, and welcoming environment.Replenish shelves and clothing rails as needed. Shop Maintenance: Keep the shop clean, safe, and well-organised at all times. Support with light cleaning duties, such as dusting, sweeping, or arranging displays. Teamwork and Communication: Work with staff and volunteers to ensure smooth shop operations. Follow all health, safety, and safeguarding procedures. Ensure donated items are handled safely and appropriately. Promote the values and mission of MISS, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Experience

Health & Safety and Compliance: Charity Representation: Essential: Friendly, approachable, and able to provide great customer service

Desirable (but not essential):

Previous experience in a retail, charity shop, or customer service environment Experience using a till or handling money Knowledge of stock rotation, pricing, or merchandising Experience working alongside volunteers or in a community setting Reliable and punctual, with a positive attitude Good communication and teamwork skills Basic numeracy and accuracy when handling cash or card payments Willingness to learn and follow shop procedures Respectful and sensitive to the nature of MISS's work supporting people affected by miscarriage and baby loss
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 13.50 per hour
