As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming shopping environment, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring that the store is well-organised and visually appealing.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs. Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively convey product information and promotions. Utilise phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries and orders over the phone. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales. Maintain an organised sales floor by restocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring cleanliness. Process transactions accurately using the till, ensuring basic maths skills are applied for cash handling. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service. Assist in inventory management, including receiving stock deliveries and conducting stock checks.

Experience

Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not essential. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy periods. Ability to communicate effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds; multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, particularly those who are bilingual in Spanish. A proactive attitude towards learning about products and enhancing sales techniques is highly valued.
