Job Description

As a Store Detective, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our retail environment by proactively identifying and preventing theft, fraud, and other security risks. You will work both in plain clothes and uniformed capacities, monitoring customer and staff activity through patrols and surveillance systems. Your keen observation skills will enable you to discreetly identify suspicious behavior, investigate incidents, and apprehend offenders in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. Collaborating closely with store management, law enforcement, and security teams, you will contribute to a safe shopping experience for customers and a secure workplace for employees.
Your responsibilities will include conducting covert floor patrols, monitoring CCTV footage, and compiling detailed incident reports for any suspicious activities or apprehensions. You will be expected to participate in loss prevention initiatives, support stocktaking processes, and assist with internal investigations as needed. Maintaining a professional demeanor, you will handle sensitive situations with discretion, ensuring that both customer service and company reputation are upheld at all times.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in security, retail, or law enforcement, although training will be provided for the right individual.
