Job Description

We are seeking a vigilant and detail-oriented Store Detective to join our security team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preventing theft, ensuring the safety of customers and staff, and maintaining a secure shopping environment. Your main duties will include patrolling the sales floor, monitoring surveillance cameras, and observing customer behavior to identify potential shoplifters and suspicious activities. You will conduct investigations, apprehend suspects in accordance with company policy and legal guidelines, and work closely with law enforcement when necessary. Additionally, you will assist in preparing detailed incident reports and supporting any subsequent investigations.
The ideal candidate will have strong observational and communication skills, a keen sense of integrity, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Previous experience in loss prevention, security, or a related field is preferred but not required, as full training will be provided. You should be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team, and possess the confidence to act decisively when situations arise. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is essential. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
