As a Store Detective, you will play a crucial role in protecting our merchandise, customers, and staff by preventing theft and supporting a safe shopping environment. You will be responsible for conducting regular surveillance of the sales floor, monitoring CCTV systems, and identifying any suspicious behavior. Your keen observation skills will assist in apprehending shoplifters and ensuring evidence is properly documented. Working discreetly in both plain clothes and uniform, you will collaborate closely with store management and law enforcement to report incidents and maintain accurate records.
Key duties include patrolling the store, investigating internal and external theft, and responding swiftly to security breaches. You will perform bag checks, conduct routine inspections, and support staff during high-risk situations. Your professionalism and strong communication skills will be essential when interacting with customers and team members, as well as when giving statements to police or testifying in court if required.
