Hours: Permanent 40hrs - 42.5hrs a week
We're a proudly independent, family run business with a long standing reputation for quality products and friendly, personal service. We're now looking for an experienced and motivated Store Manager to lead our Alton team.
About the Role:
As Store Manager at Alton Home Hardware, you'll be responsible for the day to day running of the shop, ensuring every customer enjoys a warm, welcoming, and efficient experience. You'll lead by example, supporting and developing your team, managing stock levels, and driving sales all while upholding the values that make our business special.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily store operations and ensure smooth running of the shop
Lead, motivate, and train your team.
Deliver excellent customer service and foster lasting relationships with our customers
Manage stock, orders, and merchandising to maintain a well presented store
Handle cashing up, reporting, and other administrative tasks
Work closely with the senior management team to achieve store targets.
About You:
Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role
Strong leadership and communication skills
A hands on approach with great attention to detail
Reliable, organised, and proactive
Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service
Able to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays where required
