We are a well-established Asian supermarket based in London, offering a wide range of Asian groceries, fresh produce and daily essentials. We serve both the local Asian community and a diverse customer base. Due to business growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivated
Store Manager
to lead our team and oversee day-to-day store operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the supermarket
Lead, train and motivate store staff, including rota planning and performance management
Drive sales performance and achieve agreed targets
Manage stock levels, ordering, deliveries and waste control
Ensure high standards of customer service at all times
Handle customer enquiries, complaints and operational issues
Monitor cash handling, tills and daily/weekly reports
Ensure full compliance with UK food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations
Liaise with suppliers and head office regarding stock, pricing and operations
Requirements
Previous experience in retail or supermarket management (Asian supermarket experience is an advantage)
Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
Good understanding of stock control, staff management and basic financial reporting
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
Flexible to work weekends and holidays when required
Good English communication skills
; Chinese or other Asian language skills are a plus
Must have the legal right to work in the UK
