Farplace Animal Rescue is a well-established animal rescue charity with a growing network of charity retail stores across the UK. We are looking for an experienced, motivated Store Manager to lead our Aberystwyth store, driving sales, Gift Aid & community engagement to support our rescue work.

The Role

As Store Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the store, leading your team to maximise income while maintaining excellent standards of presentation, compliance & customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing daily store operations, sales targets & KPIs*
Driving Gift Aid sign-ups, PayByLink sales & donations*
Recruiting, training & supporting staff & volunteers*
Delivering high standards of visual merchandising & stock rotation*
Managing rotas, absence & performance in line with HR procedures*
Ensuring compliance with health & safety, cash handling & GDPR requirements*
Building strong links with the local community to increase footfall*
Reporting performance to your Area Manager & Head Office*

About You

You will be a confident retail manager with a passion for charity retail & people leadership.

We are looking for someone who has:

Previous retail management experience (charity retail preferred but not essential)*
Strong leadership & people management skills*
Proven ability to meet sales targets & improve store performance*
Confidence in working with KPIs, Gift Aid & donation processes*
A hands-on, positive & resilient approach*
Flexibility to work weekends on a rota basis*
