West End Outdoors is an independent outdoor retailer with a passion for the outdoors. From roof tents and Duke of Edinburgh expedition equipment to walking gear for the West Highland Way, we offer expert advice and gear to help our customers get outside and explore.

The Role



We're looking for an enthusiastic and hands on Store Manager to lead our day-to-day operations while also supporting our marketing, customer communications and business development plans.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who's not only passionate about the outdoors, but also eager to help grow a small, value driven business. You'll get involved in everything from creating social media content to helping customers find the right gear and everything in between.

Key Responsibilities



Oversee the daily running of the store, including sales, stock, and customer service Support and motivate staff to ensure an excellent customer experience Drive sales and contribute to achieving business targets Organise and maintain shop displays, layouts, and merchandising Respond to customer enquiries and resolve any issues professionally Keep stock levels in check and liaise with suppliers as needed Assist with admin tasks such as rota planning and ordering Create engaging content for social media and email marketing campaigns Help process and package online orders Represent the business at trade shows and industry events Assist the sister business West End Adventure, with customer enquiries and activity bookings Contribute to the overall growth and success of the business

What We're Looking For



Previous experience in a retail management or supervisory role Friendly, approachable and confident in customer-facing situations A strong interest in the outdoors and outdoor gear Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Good communication skills (written and verbal) Comfortable using social media and email platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, Canva, Instagram) Self motivated with a can do attitude Able to work collaboratively in a small, close knit team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 25,000.00-30,493.00 per year
