Lucy Pittaway Limited are a successful and rapidly expanding art business based in North Yorkshire.

We are looking for a gallery manager to drive a busy sales business in our Keswick Gallery. You will need excellent organisation, communication, and sales skills.

Key responsibilities as our Gallery Manager:

You and your team will offer professional, friendly, and expert consultations while selling merchandise, limited--and open-edition prints, and original artwork.

You will strive to achieve realistic but challenging gallery targets and build a loyal client base.

You will develop and motivate your team, identify opportunities to expand your gallery's client base while offering exceptional customer service, ensure the gallery is well-presented, hanging pictures and merchandising.

No art experience is necessary as full training will be provided however retail experience is essential. A high level of enthusiasm and an appetite for selling is a must in this role.

Requirements

Personality is everything in this role, we recruit warm, engaging, and professional individuals who can motivate and lead a team.

You are presentable and confident interacting face-to-face and on the phone.

You will be a self-motivated individual who understands the tastes and requirements of your client and understands how to encourage new sales and develop successful relationships - ultimately a candidate that feels as passionate about selling art and providing a personal and unique service to our clients as we do.

As part of a small team, we do ask for flexibility and adaptability regarding responsibilities and working hours, as you will be required to work weekends and be available on occasional evenings for events.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 29,000.00 per year
