Job Description

- Duties: The worker will be responsible for following duties and responsibilities and will work 30-35



hours weekly. They will exclusively work for New Berkhamsted Sushi Limited T/A Sushi Daily.

a. Operations Management: they would be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of

the sushi stands, ensuring efficient setup, cleanliness, and adherence to health and safety

regulations.

b. Team leadership: Lead and motivate a team of skilled sushi chefs, providing guidance, training, and

support to maintain high standards of food quality.

c. Customer Service: Ensuring excellent customer service by interacting with guests, handling

complaints or special requests, and fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

d. Stand Setup: Coordinate the setup and organization of sushi stands within retailer premises,

ensuring a visually appealing and functional layout.

e. Inventory Management: Overseeing inventory levels and placing orders for ingredients and supplies

and manage stock rotation to minimize waste and optimize cost-efficiency.

f. Financial Management: Monitor and control costs, including food costs, labour costs and other

operational expenses to ensure profitability and efficiency.

g. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including

food handling and sanitation practices.

h. Marketing and Promotion: Collaborating with the marketing team to create strategies for attracting

and retaining customers. This may involve organizing special events, offering promotions, and utilizing

online platforms for marketing.

i. Administrative Tasks: Completing administrative tasks such as record-keeping, payroll processing,

and reporting to the restaurant owner or management.

j. Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to the sushi chef

team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional sushi creations.

To successfully fulfil the job requirements, the applicant will need the following skills, experience, and

qualifications:

a. Strong Leadership Skills: As a store manager, you will be responsible for leading a team and ensuring

the smooth operation of the sushi stands. Effective leadership skills are essential to motivate and

guide your team towards achieving sales targets and providing excellent customer service.

b. Retail Experience: Prior experience in a retail environment, preferably in the food industry, is

important for this role. Understanding the dynamics of retail operations, inventory management, and

customer service will enable you to effectively manage the sushi stands within the retailer's premises.

c. Food Service Knowledge: A solid understanding of food safety regulations, health codes, and food

preparation practices is crucial for maintaining high standards of food quality and safety in the sushi

stands. Knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and an appreciation for Japanese cuisine would be

beneficial.

d. Organizational Skills: Setting up and managing sushi stands within retailers' premises requires

excellent organizational skills. You will be responsible for coordinating inventory, scheduling staff, and

maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the stands. Strong attention to detail and the ability to

multitask are important to ensure smooth operations.

e. Customer Service Focus: Providing exceptional customer service is key to the success of the sushi

stands. As a store manager, you should have a customer-centric approach, ensuring that customers

have a positive experience while visiting the stands. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
