Store Manager
to join our Southend-On-Sea team, overseeing daily operations and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Role Overview:
As Store Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the store's operations. You will be expected to maintain the highest standards of customer service, as well as manage the financial, operational, HR, and compliance aspects of the store. Your leadership will drive performance, team development, and ensure adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
Monitor and manage P&L to ensure the store is operating within budget.
Oversee stock control and cost management.
Ensure accurate cash handling and financial transactions.
HR and Team Management:
Lead, motivate, and manage a team, ensuring excellent customer service and performance.
Recruitment, onboarding, training, and offboarding of staff.
Manage employee rotas and ensure the store is adequately staffed.
Monitor and address absenteeism and sickness.
Compliance & Legal Responsibilities:
Ensure adherence to all relevant labour laws, including working time regulations and employee rights.
Comply with GDPR standards in handling customer and employee data.
Oversee Health & Safety compliance within the store, conducting regular checks and ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
Manage food safety compliance, ensuring hygiene standards are maintained and all relevant training is completed by staff.
Operational Excellence:
Oversee day-to-day operations ensuring efficient service and customer satisfaction.
Ensure high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and health & safety.
Regularly review customer feedback and implement improvements.
Assist with stock orders and manage supplier relationships.
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality or retail industry, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of P&L, financial management, and cost control.
In-depth knowledge of HR processes including recruitment, training, and employee management.
Experience managing food safety, health & safety, and compliance with UK regulations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
A proactive approach with a passion for problem-solving.
