We are a well-established painters and decorators merchant seeking an experienced Store Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of our branch.
The successful candidate will manage staff, stock, sales, and customer service, ensuring the store operates efficiently and meets sales and margin targets. You will build strong relationships with trade and retail customers, maintain high merchandising standards, and oversee ordering, stock control, and health & safety compliance.
Key requirements:
Proven experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Manager (trade/merchant background preferred)
Strong leadership and people-management skills
Excellent customer service and sales ability
Good stock control, ordering, and organisational skills
Confident, reliable, and commercially aware
