Irish Manufacturing Services Ltd is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented
Store Person
to support our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Goods Inwards & Receiving
Safely unload trucks and deliveries using appropriate manual handling techniques and material handling equipment (e.g. forklift, pallet truck).
Inventory & Stores Operations
Store materials in designated locations
Maintain high levels of accuracy in stock control and inventory records.
Carry out regular cycle counts and support full stock takes as required.
Ensure traceability of parts and materials where required.
Production Picking & Supply
Pick and kit parts accurately for production orders in line with schedules and bills of materials.
Deliver materials to production lines or workstations in a timely manner to avoid downtime.
Support lean manufacturing and just-in-time supply practices.
Kanban & Replenishment
Monitor kanban-controlled items and trigger replenishment orders in line with agreed min/max levels.
Place internal or supplier kanban orders as required and track replenishment status.
Work closely with Purchasing and Production to ensure continuity of supply.
Reporting & Systems
Complete all stores-related documentation clearly and on time.
Report discrepancies, stock shortages, or system issues promptly and accurately.
Health, Safety & Housekeeping
Operate in full compliance with company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe stores environment.
Participate in safety training, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or logistics role within a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment.
Strong attention to detail with a proven track record of accurate stock handling and reporting.
Experience with goods-in inspection and identifying non-conforming materials.
Familiarity with kanban or lean inventory systems.
Forklift licence (counterbalance/reach) desirable or willingness to obtain.

Well organised with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production, quality, and purchasing teams.

Manual handling involved.
Overtime may be required depending on production demands.
