Store Person
Our Wimborne site is hiring! We are looking for a Store Person to perform the receipt of inward deliverables and their subsequent storage or distribution (where appropriate); to undertake picking of kits for the shop floor and to pack and arrange transportation of outward deliveries in accordance with appropriate procedures.
Location: Wimborne, UK
Your Challenge:Receive goods into the premises, confirm accompanying documentation and complete appropriate receipt records. Deal with discrepancies and notify Buyer/Addressee of arrivals, ensuring timely transfer
Arrange Goods-In inspection with nominated inspectors
Ensure stock items are stored in appropriate locations, taking account of the ESD Policy and Health & Safety considerations
Liaising with Planners (and others as required), ensure timely and accurate picking of materials to meet planned build dates and return non-conforming materials to suppliers, where necessary, in accordance with the Business Management System
Transport goods and other equipment around the premises using forklift truck or other nominated lifting apparatus, with due regard for Health and Safety considerations as necessary
Maintain stock record accuracy at all times ensuring perpetual inventory and annual stock checks are completed as required
Pack equipment and articles ready for dispatch and arrange transportation with nominated couriers
Ensure all areas under Stores/Goods-In control (internal and external) are clean, tidy and in good order
Liaise with other departments as required/necessary
Shop floor consumables Kanban re-ordering system
Stock take
Material scrapping on MRP system, i.e. expired shelf life items, excess, obsolete stock
Any other duties (considered reasonable) as and when required by the business
What You Bring:Previous experience in a Stores role is essential
Experience of a manufacturing environment (nuclear, defence or aerospace manufacturing environment desirable)
Task prioritisation skills are essential with the ability to juggle various tasks
Must be methodical and organised and approach all tasks in a systematic, process-orientated manner at a high level of detail
Capable computer user, proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook are necessary)
Experience working with an ERP/MRP system
Able to communicate with varying levels of an organisation
Adaptable to changing priorities at short notice in order to meet the requirements of the Business
