Job Summary

We have been baking and serving fresh bagels in the Brighton area for over 25 years.

We are looking for a part time Store Supervisor to join the team (must be available to work weekends), working alongside our store manager to oversee daily operations across our stores within Brighton & Hove. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a background in food production, ensuring that our team delivers exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency, while also fostering a positive work atmosphere.

Duties

Working alongside the store manager and running shifts (without the store manager present). Supervising and working alongside the store team in their duties, serving customers, filling bagels, making hot drinks and cleaning. Ensuring all food preparation tasks are being completed by the team ahead of upcoming peak demand or scheduled orders. Manage inventory levels and assist with ordering stock to ensure smooth operations. Complete end of day till procedures. Monitoring the standard of service and guiding junior team members where appropriate. Handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively, providing solutions to enhance customer experience. Maintaining cleanliness of the store and preparation areas. Ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. Ensure daily compliance checks are completed, and supporting the store manager with keeping paperwork up to date. Maintain current knowledge of company policies and procedures.

Experience

Experience in a similar role within hospitality preferred, but not mandatory. Experience in a supervisor or team leader position. Background in food production, with knowledge of kitchen operations. Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively, and motivating team members. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with both team members and customers. A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
