Job Purpose Summary

: The Storeman will carry out general warehouse and delivery duties as directed by the Stores Lead. The jobholder will be aware of and follow warehouse safety procedures and will work as a part of the logistics team.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

General

Counting, picking and packing of stock for inwards, outwards, stocktaking or any other purpose as required. Safe loading, unloading and handling of all stock. Safe racking and organisation of all stock. Complete and submit any related paperwork. Ensure all stock is correctly identifiable with purchase order numbers/customer details etc. Develop productive working relationships with colleagues. Communicate effectively with colleagues, managers, visiting delivery drivers and sales staff. Be a professional representative for AEL when visiting customer premises. Ensure accuracy in all paperwork and delivery quantities and content. Keep a safe, tidy and clean place of work for you, other employees and visitors. Pack for International Shipping of orders Communicate with other branches regarding collection of orders Book collections via Carrier Other duties as assigned by the Team Lead

Health & Safety

Ensure compliance with all H&S instruction and ensure safe working practices for self and the logistics team. Report all accidents, incidents or near misses. Proactively support the organisation with H&S aims and objectives. Be aware of your own safety whilst on customer's premises.

Nature of Internal and External Contacts

Internal

The jobholder will be expected to maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation. In particular, the jobholder will be expected to liaise effectively with all departments.

External

Communication with customers/suppliers delivery personnel.
