Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by efficiently handling the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Duties

Inspecting / receipting incoming goods Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring accurate handling of materials. Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Manage inventory using warehouse management systems to track stock levels and locations. Perform regular checks on equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to prepare orders for dispatch. Engage in heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to avoid injury.

Skills

Proficiency in operating forklifts is essential; certification is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory tracking is advantageous. .Experience in materials handling, including loading and unloading procedures. Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout shifts. Previous experience in a warehouse environment is beneficial but not mandatory. Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks. Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.

Pay: From 13.47 per hour

Expected hours: 39.5 per week
