Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling materials, operating equipment, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods within the warehouse environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in warehouse management and logistics, contributing to efficient operations across various departments. Prior warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge are advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Duties

Manage the ordering and supply of materials and stock Load and unload goods using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment such as forklifts Operate warehouse management system to track inventory levels and order processing Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation and timely dispatch of goods Organise stock storage areas to optimise space utilisation and accessibility Perform materials handling tasks, including lifting heavy items safely and efficiently Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety hazards Support with general warehouse organisation, including cleaning and maintaining a tidy workspace Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets and deadlines

Qualifications

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided Valid forklift licence is desirable; however, training can be arranged for suitable candidates Mechanical knowledge or experience in construction or materials handling is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods Familiarity with warehouse management systems or similar software is a plus Good organisational skills with attention to detail Physically fit with the ability to stand for long periods and perform manual tasks in a fast-paced environment
