To support the Engineering maintenance and planning, with timely supply of parts and consumables required to carry out scheduled / unscheduled tasks. Ensuring compliance , H&S, COSHH standards are met. Responsible for Stocking/ replacement procedures in line with company standards. Inventory management and cost efficiency to meet KPI's.
General Duties
Dealing with suppliers and customers professionally on a daily basis
Prompt ordering and sourcing of stock items at best prices
Ensure tyre stock replenished.
No stock to be issued without valid job card
Control order usage on part movements.
Comply with vehicle manufacturer, DVSA & Company stock quality.
Ensue all parts/materials are allocated correctly on the Vehicle Maintenance System before finalising the job-card.
Ensure digital job-cards are checked regular for part and material costs
Ensure all data sheets are provided and up to date..
Keep close contact with body shop on material and stock usage.
Carry out daily stock takes. And replenish consumables.
Ensure all data sheets are provided and up to date. Ensure all waste transfer notes and
associated paperwork are kept in order.
Ensure all invoices / delivery notes and associated paperwork are kept in order.
Ensure correct disposal of environmental/ contaminated waste.
All chemical and hazardous materials to be stored in accordance with manufacturers guidelines.
Responsible for the safe keeping of any company tools and equipment
Ensure all required licenses and certificates are kept up to date
To cover on call and weekend work, as required
Any work or job-card not completed by the end of duty must be reported to the Fleet Engineer before leaving the work place.
Day to day running of stores, oversee all stock ordering all depots,
Keep detailed records of all warranty claims and clear outstanding warranty claims.
Ensure detailed records are kept up to date on the Tyre module.
Skills and Qualifications
Experience working with heavy vehicles and good understanding of commercial parts (PSV/ HGV) is essential;
Ability to prioritise own workload;
Ability to work with minimal supervision;
Ability to work well under pressure;
Accuracy and attention to detail
Willingness to work overtime as and when required
