We are looking for an experienced Stores and Distribution Team Leader who will be responsible for supporting, deputising for and assisting the Stores and Distribution Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Central Stores area, the Stores Team.
What you would be doing

You will be responsible for assisting with maintaining the total security of stock from order to receipt, storage, and distribution in compliance with Imperial and departmental procedures, health, safety, and hygiene legislation.
You will line manage the Stores and Distribution Porters, assist with planning and preparing rotas and cleaning schedules, conduct annual appraisals, and monitoring performance. You will be responsible for briefing, inducting and coordinating staff training for their and your own development.
You will ensure health, safety and food hygiene legislative requirements are met and be responsible for receiving and checking deliveries against orders/delivery notes. You will also store supplies, stack shelves, supervise stock rotation, holding levels and wastage all in line with Imperial Financial Regulations and Departmental policies.
You will also support other Managers and staff within the Team and ensure the provision of a courteous and efficient service to all customers.
What we are looking for

Basic Food Hygiene Qualification
Current Clean Full Driving Licence
Responsible attitude towards health & safety at work
In possession of a full, current, UK driving licence and to comply fully with the Imperial Code of Practice - Driving at work (cannot have over 7 points on their licence at any time)
An understanding of the use of different equipment / machinery within the work area and the ability to operate such equipment / machinery
Physically able to operate different equipment and lift objects of varying loads
A command of verbal English proven by the attainment of a basic level English language course, to be able to understand basic instructions and communicate effectively with customers, staff, students and visitors
A high level of personal hygiene
A flexible approach to work, with willingness to work a 5 over 7-day shift pattern including evenings and weekends, and responding to emergencies as required, across all Imperial sites
