Stores Operative

Cleveland Cable Company is the largest supplier of cables and cable accessories in the UK. Established in 1978, we operate nine branches across the UK and Ireland supplying domestic and European markets. In 2016, we launched Dubai-based Cleveland Cable Trading FZCO to supply markets in the Middle East and Africa, taking our business truly global. Additionally, we own and operate Superlec Direct - an electrical wholesale, supplier and retail e-commerce website.

We are currently recruiting for a stores operative to work in our busy warehouse. The role involves but is not limited to the following role and procedures:

Closely following your job specification and Standard Operating Procedures.

Order picking ensuring the correct cable & accessories are selected from stores.

Serving customers at our trade counter.

Stock control and updating our database.

Checking off and booking in deliveries.

Providing cover in other departments when required.

Maintain stores and warehouse to a high standard of housekeeping.

General warehouse duties.

Adhering to all Health and Safety and QA Procedures.

Salary Dependent on Experience.

Experience working in a similar stores role is essential.

Experience of working in a similar industry would be advantageous.

We would prefer candidates to have a 3 ton Counter balance Fork lift truck licence but not essential.

Training will be provided on products / Order picking / Trade counter duties / General warehouse & stock systems.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 12.33 per hour
