Job Overview

The Stores Operative/Driver is responsible for undertaking the daily Warehouse and Stores (including Goods In, Goods Out, final quality checks & Driving duties) operations following company procedures and processes. The Stores Operative/Driver should have strong organisational skills, be able to employ a wide variety of logistic and stock control methods. The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for the supporting the Warehouse Team Leader and other Operatives with the final quality check prior to despatch and the maintenance of a highly proficient Warehouse/Stores environment.

Responsibilities

Assist all parts of Production including Cutting, Machining and R&D by picking components to a prescribed picking list, moving, and removing stock to/from the Stores area to Production facility. Report low stock to the Warehouse Team Leader. Raising material/component quality issues to the Team Leader. Assist with the final quality check of all goods leaving the business, raising any issues to the Warehouse Team Leader. Work with the Team Leader to help always maintain a 100% efficient stock system including, assisting in the quarterly stock takes. Ensure stock and product numbers are current and labelled correctly, including goods ready for despatch. To always maintain a FIFO system. Ensure that FLT daily checks are completed accurately, if relevant. Use Microsoft Office, including Excel, to book deliveries on the system and add to stock Inventory log. Complete all relevant paperwork accurately and ensure timely return to the Warehouse Team Leader. Driving of company vehicles. Complete daily van checks before and after use. Report any issues to the Warehouse Team Leader. Maintain a positive and friendly company image to all customers, suppliers, and staff. Follow company quality guidelines, raising any concerns to management. Always comply with all company procedures including the Health and Safety policy and ISO accreditation. Other facility and duties as required by the business.
