We are a leading manufacturer and supplier of roller shutter doors and components, providing high-quality products to customers across the UK. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a dedicated and reliable Stores Operative to join our team and support the smooth running of our manufacturing operations.

Role Overview

As a Stores Operative, you will play a key role in managing stock levels, ensuring materials and components are available for production, and maintaining a well-organised stores environment. This role requires attention to detail, good organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, check, and store incoming deliveries of materials and components Pick, prepare, and issue stock to production teams in line with manufacturing schedules Carry out regular stock checks and cycle counts to ensure accuracy of inventory records Update stock management systems and maintain accurate records of movements Ensure safe handling, storage, and labelling of materials in line with company procedures Assist with stock replenishment and place internal orders when required Keep the stores area clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety standards Liaise with suppliers, drivers, and internal departments where necessary Support the wider team with ad hoc duties as required

Skills and Experience Required

Previous experience in a Stores, Warehouse, or similar role (manufacturing environment desirable) Good organisational and time-management skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Basic IT skills for stock recording (experience with stock management systems is an advantage) Forklift licence (desirable but not essential - training can be provided)

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour
