Overview


The stores person will be responsible for maintaining and managing the stores department, a key component of this role is to liaise with the variety of business streams and ensuring their delivery schedules are met. This included HVAC, Refrigeration, Fire & Safety and Fire & Security. Ensuring Nucore and customer standards are met particularly in respect of dangerous goods.

Responsibilities



Ensure receipt of delivery schedules from all business streams and manage schedules to ensure deliveries are met To control records relating to maintenance, testing, calibration, and location of range of instruments and work equipment in line with company processes Control of hazardous substance purchases and maintain COSHH approval Organising transport as and when required and ensure purchase orders are created, approved and receipted in a timely manner Completion of outbound paperwork including cargo summary tickets, delivery notes and dangerous goods notes as required, ensuring you are adhering to customer standards and working practice Procurement of stock and consumables in line with company processes and minimum/maximum level Unloading vehicles and placing goods into the correct areas, ensuring all paperwork is signed and stamped accordingly and stored I Inspection and booking in of all goods received, in line with company processes. Ensure system is updated and paperwork checked/scanned and stored Ensure all non-conforming products are quarantined and discrepancies are highlighted in the system (NCR raised and issued Ensure all goods are labelled correctly and placed on the appropriate shelves Control and inspection of all incoming and outgoing hire equipment and toolkits. Ensure the hire trackers procedures are followed and the relevant person is informed of goods being returned Transfer of stock items and equipment to and from locations Responsible for stocktakes across all business streams Ensure all gas cylinders are kept updated in the tracker and returned as soon as possible All delivery driver duties to be covered as and when required, ensuring vehicle policy and risk assessments are adhered to Undertake and complete daily forklift checklists if storemen are not present Ensure the stores and yard are kept clear at all times Communicate information in relation to responsibilities effectively within team and across the organisation both verbally and written Actively participate in the Nucore competence and performance management systems
Experience/Training

Full UK drivers licence Forklift Cat B1, B2 training in accordance with RTITB standards Dangerous Goods by Sea, Air and Road Training Previous experience working in a similar role in a Stores environment for minimum 2 years Strong organisational skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 28,000.00-30,000.00 per hour
