About the Role

On behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the aviation industry, JMC Aviation is currently recruiting for a Stores Operative to join their facility in Barry, Cardiff.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic and supportive team, ensuring the smooth and efficient control of work and breakdown spares through the facility to support ongoing operations.



Key Responsibilities


Manage logistics, including the issue and movement of materials and parts through the shop, warehouse, and external storage facilities. Maintain a high level of housekeeping and control of all work in progress, ensuring traceability and accuracy. Update and manage SAP stores and Excel spreadsheets for parts and tooling. Liaise closely with other departments to coordinate part, spares, and tooling movement for workflow efficiency. Conduct daily checks and audits of stores and tooling areas. Assist with stocktakes and cycle counts as required. Undertake additional duties as required.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:


Previous experience in a similar logistics or production support role. Strong working knowledge of stores or warehouse environments. Computer literate with good Excel skills. Strong communication and organisational skills. Ability to work flexibly and under pressure. Health & Safety awareness.

Desirable:


Experience using SAP. Forklift qualification. Experience in aerospace, MRO, or GSE operations.
