We are based in Andoversford (GL54) which is 6.6 miles outside of central Cheltenham.

Role Overview

Astor-Bannerman manufactures, supplies, installs and services specialist bathing and lifting systems for the disabled and elderly. We have a 30-year track record as a market leader in our field and we have an ambition to grow.

This role is part of our expanding production team, and is responsible for kitting up the Bill of Materials for the assembly team, ensuring they are equipment to complete their jobs, whilst ensuring stock levels are optimised.

Main functions and responsibilities

Kit up Bill of Materials for assembly operatives. Manage KANBAN stock system reserves. Booking in stock and storing in correct location. Carry out regular checks on stock levels. Inform Procurement Team of low stock levels. Checking the goods received from Fabrication and other sources. Providing support with quality assurance. Updating documentation and associated systems. Support with packing finished goods. Keeping the area clean and tidy. Support the Assembly Lead with various tasks.

The Person

Must be computer literate with basic software packages, eg word, excel etc. Forklift licence would be advantageous. Experience usings SAP or SAP B1 would be advantageous. Keen eye for detail. Ability to prioritise work and work within tight timescales. Able to follow processes. Enthusiastic and willing to learn new skills. Adaptable and enjoys change. A good team player.
