We are looking for a standards-focused, service-oriented
Stores-Person
to be responsible for the for the upkeep and management of the hotel's inventory and stock, ensuring that all necessary items are available when needed. This involves coordinating with various departments within the hotel, including housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance, to ensure that all supplies are in stock and readily available.
The ideal candidate for this position should have excellent organizational skills, as well as the ability to multitask and work well under pressure. Attention to detail is a must, as the Storekeeper must keep accurate records of all inventory and stock, and be able to identify when supplies are running low and need to be replenished. They will also verify that all supplies and goods received are listed on requisitions/orders and that the delivery dockets and invoices are checked and filed in the appropriate folder.
The ideal candidate will have good customer service skills, great attention to detail, able to manage a steady workload and work without constant supervision. The role's focus will be to ensure stocks and stores are controlled and Killyhevlin meets the expectations of our guests.
This is a permanent part-time position based on 5 shifts out of 7 per week. Flexibility is essential as weekend work may be required.
The hours are 8.00am to 1.00 pm (TBC)
There is a 6-month probationary period.

Responsibilities include:
To ensure high standards of personal hygiene, clean and tidy appearance at all times on duty and take care of yourself and others, in line with Health and Safety @ Work Act and to wear provided PPE.
To ensure promptness and attendance as per rota and to clock as per company policy.
To be fully aware of the hotel layout and its facilities, stores and accesses.
To ensure that all store areas are kept in a clean and tidy condition including the delivery yard and access to the yard is kept clear for deliveries and otherwise secured.
To ensure that all food delivery vehicles are checked, and that the delivery/ driver conforms with hotel policy, Food Hygiene and Health and Safety Regulations.
To ensure that all deliveries are checked off accurately against delivery notes and orders, and that any discrepancies are addressed immediately as they arise.
To ensure that all food stuffs are fully checked on delivery, and that any inferior goods are not accepted and relevant people are informed.
To liaise with other departments within the hotel regarding stock purchasing, requisitions etc and to ensure that all deliveries are delivered to the appropriate person/ store and secured as soon as possible.
To ensure that all stock is rotated and date labelled to ensure that all perishable items are used before the expiry date.
To ensure delivery of all stocks to the ordering department within the hotel in a prompt & mannerly fashion.
To liaise with our Accounts Manager, to ensure paperwork, deliveries/ receipts/ returns are accurate.
To assist in monthly stocktaking if required.
To be aware of the daily business - function sheet - ensuring deliveries are made on time for an event.
To co-operate with management and other staff at all times.
Occasional Duties:
To assist with visiting contractors/ sales reps/ EHO.
To be fully conversant with fire evacuation and prevention procedures.
To attend as appropriate, any staff or training meetings.
To report problems or complaints to the management.
To be prepared to cover for colleagues in the event of an emergency, sickness, holiday etc.
To assist with any other duties with your capabilities as required by management - perhaps at short notice as per the late requests often received in hospitality.
This job description cannot be exhaustive due to the peculiar requirements of the hotel industry. Therefore, it is appreciated the jobholder may be required from time to time to carry out tasks requested by the management which will benefit the guests of Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel and Lodges.
Essential Skills:
A good standard of education: GCSE (or industry recognised alternative) Maths and English are both required.
Fluent English speaker.
Able to provide good Customer service.
Good communicator - great listening skills and able to pass on messages correctly.
Desirable Skills:
Previous experience of a similar role (ideally in a hotel/ self-catering/ health club).
Proactive in ensuring any emergencies are dealt with immediately
Able to work cool and calm under pressure
Certification for skillset.
Driving license.
