Stores Person
to join our fantastic team and play a vital role in our ongoing success.
The Role
We are seeking a meticulous and efficient
Stores Person
to take responsibility for our busy stores department. You will be a crucial part of our daily operations, ensuring the smooth and accurate flow of parts required for our production schedule, our field service engineers, and for direct sale to our customers.
Your primary goal is to maintain stock accuracy and organisation, ensuring the right parts are in the right place at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
Managing all goods in and out, checking deliveries for accuracy and quality against purchase orders.
Accurately booking parts onto our computerised stock control system.
Picking and preparing parts kits for machine production and our team of service engineers.
Securely packing and despatching spare parts orders for our nationwide customer base.
Conducting regular stock checks to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy.
Ensuring the stores area is kept clean, safe, and highly organised.
Liaising with internal departments, including purchasing and service, to ensure a smooth workflow.
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Proven experience
in a similar stores, warehouse, or parts department role.
A keen
eye for detail
and a methodical, organised approach to your work.
Strong
computer literacy
, with experience using stock control systems.
A reliable, proactive, and positive
team-player
attitude.
The physical ability to perform
manual handling
tasks.
Experience within an
engineering or manufacturing
environment is highly desirable.
A valid
Counterbalance Forklift Licence
is advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided for the right candidate.
