Stores Operative

Introduction

We are looking for a

Stores Operative

to join our Goods-Inwards function. This is an established role within our world-leading machine tool manufacturing business.


You'll work independently with a high degree of autonomy, managing deliveries and stock control to keep our operations running smoothly.


Previous experience in a manufacturing environment and proficiency in using a MRP or ERP system is essential. This position suits someone who is organised, proactive, and confident working alone while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.


About the Role


You will take ownership of the Goods-Inwards process, ensuring all deliveries are handled efficiently and stock records remain accurate.


Key Responsibilities:

Accurately log and process incoming deliveries, continuously updating the ERP system Organise and store components in line with company standards for easy access and efficiency. Keep the Stores area tidy and well-maintained to support smooth operations Prepare and pick orders, including assembling KIT bins for ongoing projects Pack spares orders and complete all necessary documentation Conduct regular stock checks to maintain inventory accuracy Operate a Fork Lift Truck when required to support goods movement


About You

Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment Familiarity with engineering components Current Fork Lift Truck (counterbalance) licence Confident using computer systems, including email and MRP/ERP software Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and a diligent approach
