PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Treat all goods and equipment with due care and attention
Gain an up to date understanding and awareness of the Health and Safety implications for handling dangerous goods ie handling compressed gas cylinders, explosives, and chemicals
Maintaining high standards of numeracy and literacy when issuing spares to units
Ensuring hazardous items received have the correct Safety Data Information
Stock control for a large store area including maintenance for shelf life items and adhesives
Receive deliveries into the company ensuring unapproved suspect parts are identified
Transport goods received to relevant bays, adhering to the Health and Safety procedures at all times
Adhere to Company policies and procedures at all times
Adhering to rules and regulations within the aviation industry concerning the packing of goods including dangerous goods
Able to lift loads in a safe manner
Undertake annual and rolling stock takes
Monitoring of commercial items / re-ordering when required
Ensuring certification records are up to date and maintaining monthly records
Ensuring all bonded store procedures are carried out using the highest standards
Maintain exceptional standards of housekeeping i.e. keeping floors swept clean
Help fellow colleagues in Stores
Responsible for adhering to health and safety rules and procedures
Understand variations when handling stock of the different companies that are within group.
Communicate and liaise effectively with all departments across the MEL Group
Willingness to learn and develop capability
Work to set standards and deadlines
Maintain a smart appearance and uniform, representing the Company's best interests at all times
Other duties as required within the skills, training and qualifications of the incumbent
