Stores Person
Our client are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Stores Person to join their dynamic warehouse team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining efficient stock management, order fulfilment, and overall warehouse operations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Operate counterbalance forklifts and powered pallet trucks (PPT) safely and efficiently to move, stack, and arrange stock within the warehouse
  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using our warehouse management system
  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming deliveries, ensuring all items are accounted for and in good condition
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, adhering to company standards and customer specifications
  • Perform regular stock counts and participate in periodic inventory audits
  • Identify and report any discrepancies in stock levels or damaged goods
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
  • Assist in the training of new team members on warehouse procedures and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations and timely order fulfilment
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift License
  • Valid Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) License or experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution center
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and inventory control software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and stock management
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 25kg) regularly throughout the shift
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required
