The Storesperson will be required to receive, handle, store and issue company stocks of materials in an efficient and safe manner in accordance with company code of practice/operating procedures.
The responsibilities of the role include
(but are not limited to):
Using established procedures to ensure all received stock is counted, documented, labelled and stacked in the appropriate locations.
Ensuring all stock is kept in a satisfactory condition and damaged material is identified, quarantined and reported immediately to quality engineering.
Ensure all demands for issuing material is done within the agreed timescales and in accordance with the stores code of practice.
Maintain a clean and controlled working environment.
To carry out regular stock-takes to agreed time scales.
Monitor shelf-life constraints', ensuring that such materials are reviewed on a periodic basis prior to expiry date.
Stores Person Specification:
Right to live and work in the UK,
Holds recognised fork-lift truck driving licence
Basic IT Skills (Word, Excel)
This role will be worked over a 5 day week; Monday to Friday. Flexibility in this role is critical to the success of supporting the team.
