We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Key Account Executive to join our dynamic sales team at Sphere, a leading FinTech firm specializing in voice and digital trading solutions. This role is primarily focused on driving expansion and upselling within existing accounts. You will play a critical role in engaging new traders and brokers within client organizations, helping to grow and solidify our relationships across energy trading firms such as Total, BP, and Equinor.
In this role, you'll be the main point of contact for key accounts. Unlike other industries where decisions are made centrally, energy trading firms operate in a siloed decision-making environment. Your ability to build relationships at all levels within an organization will be essential. You will work closely with traders already using the platform to encourage their data sharing, which enhances the platform's appeal to other traders. Your focus will be on account management, relationship building, and, most importantly, expanding our reach within these accounts.
You'll collaborate with our internal Trading Solutions team (similar to a Technical Customer Success Team) to ensure brokers receive the necessary training and technical support. Additionally, you'll work alongside our marketing team to leverage Account-Based Marketing (ABM) tools and support teams in Singapore and Houston to achieve our global objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and grow relationships with key clients, focusing on upselling and expanding the user base within existing accounts.
Serve as the main point of contact for key accounts.
Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions that drive platform adoption.
Work closely with the Trading Solutions team to support brokers' training and technical needs.
Leverage ABM tools in collaboration with the marketing team to enhance client engagement.
Work with teams based in Singapore and Houston to deliver global support.
Ensure traders actively share their liquidity data to increase the platform's attractiveness.
Identify new business opportunities and drive the expansion of relationships within existing accounts.
Monitor account performance and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients.
Collaborate with the sales team to achieve business goals.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions and transactions in HubSpot.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to offer the best client advice.
Participate in industry events and conferences to stay connected with the market.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
At least 5 years of closing experience in sales, with a focus on generating revenue and managing accounts.
At least 3 years of experience selling within the financial services industry to traders, brokers, or analysts.
Direct experience from within a scaling/growing organisation.
Proven experience in expanding accounts and driving upsell opportunities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of an organisation.
Experience with a CRM (ideally HubSpot), and Microsoft Office
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Willingness to travel, primarily within London and Geneva, with occasional broader international travel.
