About the Role

Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, this is a high-impact leadership position that blends strategic planning, operational coordination, and customer-centric delivery.

You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, strengthening existing partnerships, and ensuring our services align with evolving client needs across sectors such as energy-from-waste, recycling, construction, and industrial minerals.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement

: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor.

Growth Strategy

: Support the development and execution of strategic plans to expand our footprint across core sectors.

Operational Alignment

: Work closely with traffic, fleet, and depot teams to ensure service excellence and responsiveness.

Commercial Insight

: Collaborate with estimating and finance teams to shape proposals, pricing models, and contract terms.

Market Intelligence

: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to inform business decisions.

Brand Representation

: Represent Hargreaves Logistics at industry events, client meetings, and leadership forums.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in strategic account management, business development, or client partnership roles within logistics, infrastructure, or industrial services. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence at senior levels. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a track record of delivering results. Willingness to travel regularly across the UK.
