About the role

This role is responsible for leading the strategic development of adult social care in East Sussex.

We have just published our new strategy for adult social care in East Sussex \xe2\x80\x9cWhat matters to you\xe2\x80\x9d and are looking for someone to make sure we deliver the strategy and lead on innovative projects with a focus on healthy ageing and prevention.

You will work closely with a range of stakeholders to respond to national and local initiatives, legislation, guidance, best practice and innovation in order to develop our strategic approach within adult social care and achieve improved practice and effective services in East Sussex. Stakeholders include operational, commissioning, Public Health and other East Sussex County Council colleagues, East Sussex residents, providers (including those in the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector) and statutory partners such as the NHS.

We are looking for candidates who are:

\xc2\xb7 Competent using data and research to develop new approaches

\xc2\xb7 Experienced working across and between organisations

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency\'s Points-based Immigration System.
