Job description



Role Overview




The Strategic Engagement Manager will report directly to Head of Corporate Affairs. In this role, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:



Leading on the development and execution of the stakeholder engagement strategy and programme; coordinating stakeholder engagement across the organisation where appropriate Mapping the stakeholder landscape; and forging relationships with key stakeholders to help push forward the Money and Pensions agenda Supporting and working with others across the organisation to ensure quality and consistency of external facing engagement, including working with digital engagement leads Writing speeches, producing presentations and supporting the briefing process for Executive Leadership Team and Chair Ensuring approaches and frameworks including our CRM system are in place and implemented effectively across the organisation to create and share knowledge in relation to stakeholders and key opinion formers Developing stakeholder messaging and channel management strategies that support our strategy and objectives Managing the strategic stakeholder engagement for specific programmes of delivery related to the Corporate Plan, Corporate Strategy and UK Strategy for Financial Wellbeing. Leading on relevant stakeholder event selection and management

You will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience.

Experience and expertise



Expertise in developing and delivering successful corporate engagement strategies and plans Development of corporate narrative and messaging Reputation management

Essential Criteria



Solid understanding of stakeholder engagement Strong partnership and stakeholder management abilities, with expertise in influencing senior level stakeholders Strong networking and presentation, written and verbal communication skills Comprehensive and methodical organisational skills and the ability to deliver projects working within inter-departmental or matrix teams

Desirable Criteria



A detailed understanding of one or more aspects of the financial services sector, and connected social policy and wider stakeholder landscape is highly desirable Knowledge and understanding of the workings of government and UK parliament an advantage

Flexible Working



At MaPS, we take pride in our flexible approach to work. As standard, we work on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days in the office per week. Hybrid working is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and our headquarters in Bedford will be your contractual place of work. The number of days that anyone will be able to work at home will be determined primarily by business needs, but personal and other relevant circumstances will also be considered. If you are successful, any opportunities for hybrid working, including whether a hybrid working arrangement is suitable for you, will be discussed with you prior to you taking up your post.
