Job Description
- Offer expert financial guidance on key contracts, procurement exercises and commercial decisions, including the new agency leisure contract
- Develop and maintain robust procedures for recording Private Rented Property Licences (PRPL) in the financial ledger
- Lead on monthly income forecasting and quarterly reviews of recharge costs to the Housing Revenue Account (HRA)
- Line-manage and mentor a service accountant and an apprentice
- Provide in-depth financial analysis and modelling to inform restructures, savings initiatives and project evaluations
- Manage year-end closure processes and address audit queries promptly and effectively
- Design and deliver training on financial planning, controls and regulations
- Oversee budget setting, financial planning and capital programme management, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of all financial data
