Job Description



The primary objective of the Strategic Insight Analyst will be to develop a common understanding of our external operating environment. As a Strategic Insight Analyst you will work in the European Strategic Services team, whose core purpose is to evaluate and deliver key initiatives for the European business. Market and competitor insights are critical to enabling Leaders to make decisions that help Vanguard achieve our strategic objectives. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with the European and International Leadership Teams, Business Unit Leads, and stakeholders across the enterprise to define problems, create clear plans for analysis, and provide thought leadership. Core Responsibilities in the role:

  • Design and deliver a suite of strategic insights reports, that align to Vanguard\xe2\x80\x99s target markets, and business lines.
  • Build a common understanding of our external operating environment.
  • Improve awareness of key competitors, inc. their business models, investment levels, etc.
  • Enable improved prioritisation of proposition enhancements, to deliver leading client journeys.
  • Support the evaluation of commercial opportunities or threats, as they arise in our priority markets.
  • Collaborate with business partners to ensure consistency of messaging and prevent duplication of analysis.
  • Support a culture of insight-driven planning, performance monitoring and continuous improvement.
What it takes:
  • Demonstrable experience in using research, complex data analysis or strategic problem solving to provide meaningful data and actionable insights for senior leaders.
  • Excellent written, visual and verbal communications skills, able to influence and negotiate whilst showing business judgment and work ethic.
  • Attention to detail with strong organisational, interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to deliver multiple concurrent projects and manage competing priorities.
