Role Overview:



The Strategic Finance Manager will be a key leader within our finance organization, responsible for developing and overseeing long-range financial plans, providing insightful financial analysis, and offering strategic guidance to support the development's ambitious goals. This role requires exceptional analytical skills, a strong understanding of corporate finance principles, and the ability to translate complex financial information into actionable strategies. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership, project teams, and investment partners to ensure financial sustainability and optimize returns.

Key Responsibilities:



Develop and maintain comprehensive long-term financial models, forecasts, and strategic plans aligned with the development's overall objectives and timelines. Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including feasibility studies, investment appraisals, scenario planning, and valuation assessments for new projects and initiatives. Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management and the board to support decision-making on capital allocation, investment priorities, and risk management. Lead the financial due diligence process for potential partnerships, acquisitions, and major capital projects. Monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs), analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to drive financial performance and operational efficiencies. Develop and implement robust financial risk management frameworks and strategies. Prepare and present clear, concise, and impactful financial reports, presentations, and business cases to executive leadership and external stakeholders. Collaborate with various departments (e.g., development, operations, sales & marketing) to integrate financial planning and ensure alignment with strategic goals. Stay abreast of macroeconomic trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes that may impact the financial strategy of the development. Champion best practices in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, driving continuous improvement within the finance function.

Role Competencies & Activities:



Stakeholder Management & Advisory:



Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage with internal stakeholders (including department heads and project leaders) and external partners (such as investors, lenders, and financial institutions). Serve as a key financial advisor to business units, providing expert guidance on financial implications of strategic decisions and operational plans. Build and nurture strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring alignment on financial objectives. Proactively identify and address financial concerns, mediating discussions and providing solutions to support project and organizational goals. Work closely with legal, commercial, and development teams to ensure financial considerations are integrated into all major agreements and initiatives.

Financial Strategy & Execution Excellence:



Oversee the development and refinement of sophisticated financial models to support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Lead the financial evaluation of strategic initiatives, including market entry strategies, new product/service development, and major infrastructure investments. Develop and implement optimal capital structuring and financing strategies for various projects within the development. Coordinate with treasury functions to ensure liquidity and manage financial risks effectively. Drive the adoption and effective utilization of advanced financial modeling software, BI tools, and data analytics to enhance strategic insights and reporting capabilities.

Leadership & Communication:



Articulate a clear financial vision and strategy that supports the overall goals of the development to the finance team, senior leadership, and external partners. Prepare and deliver persuasive financial reports, investment memorandums, and strategic recommendations to support executive and board-level decision-making. Apply data analytics and financial intelligence to refine strategies, optimize resource allocation, and identify value creation opportunities. Inspire, coach, and develop finance team members, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting professional growth in strategic finance.

Experience & Qualifications:



Skills & Experience:



A minimum of 10-12+ years of progressive experience in strategic finance, corporate finance, investment banking, or financial planning & analysis (FP&A), preferably within large-scale real estate development, infrastructure projects, or multinational corporations. Proven track record in developing complex financial models, conducting sophisticated financial analysis, and providing strategic financial advice that has influenced major business decisions. Demonstrated ability to lead financial due diligence, structure financing deals, and manage investor relations. Extensive experience in strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management. Strong understanding of international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS), financial regulations, and risk management principles. Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences. Experience with advanced financial modeling software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and BI tools is essential. Previous experience in the Middle Eastern financial market or other rapidly developing international regions is highly advantageous.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field. A Master's degree (MBA, MSc Finance, or equivalent) is strongly preferred. Professional financial qualification (e.g., CFA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable and considered a significant asset.
