A commercially astute and scientifically grounded

Strategic Partnership Director

to strengthen our relationships with existing customers across our Discovery, Development, and Contract Manufacturing (DP&C) services in the small molecule market. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in drug discovery and development to drive growth through strategic account management and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:



Identify and grow service opportunities within existing client accounts Collaborate with US and European Business Development teams to meet sales and profit targets Develop and execute strategic account plans to support order targets Qualify and manage sales leads from inquiry to close Promote cross-selling opportunities across Pharmaron's service portfolio Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client developments to inform strategy Work closely with scientific and operational teams to develop tailored proposals Review commercial documents (e.g., CDAs) to ensure compliance with company policies Support special projects and contribute to broader business development initiatives Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies and SOPs

Requirements:



PhD, postgraduate qualification, or degree in a relevant life science discipline Extensive experience in the drug discovery industry Proven track record in scientific leadership within a life science organisation Strong background in pharmaceutical development and outsourcing Business development experience, ideally in a key account or strategic partnership role Commercially savvy with excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills In-depth knowledge of the drug discovery and pharmaceutical market Broad IT competence, including MS Office and CRM systems Excellent communication, persuasion, and networking skills Financial, costing, and numerical acumen Desirable: MBA and coaching/performance management experience

Pharmaron acquired the Hoddesdon campus, consisting of several purpose-built scientific and administrative buildings together with a purpose-built conference area in February 2017. The research building has more than 5,000m2 of premier R&D space and houses an established Process Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry and Drug Discovery teams. In addition, a Formulation Development team was also recently established. The Hoddesdon site has state-of-the-art Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standard facilities for the development of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), Formulation Development (FD) and Process Chemistry (PC).
